COVID-19: Goverment Imposes 8pm To 6am Curfew

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Ekiti Goverment has imposes 8pm to 6am curfew.

The executive Governor of Ekiti, his Excellency Kayode Fayemi has imposed a curfew from 8pm to 6am in Ekiti State starting from Monday, 11th January, 2021.

Mr Fayemi, also placed a ban on all gatherings of more than 20 people in the state in addition to the curfew, till further notice.

The Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Akinbowale Omole,
announced the new restrictions in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on Sunday.

Omole said the new measures became necessary following The recent surge in the spread of the virus, made it compulsory for the new measures, adding that there’s a need for government to be proactive and take decisive steps to secure the citizens in the second wave of the pandemic omole said

The commissioner said the government can only allow
the religious worship centers have two services to take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday accordingly and must not exceed 2pm.

In his words Omole advised citizens of the state to follow COVID-19 protocols by wearing their nose masks properly, wash their hands with soap, use hand sanitizer regularly and maintain social distancing
