Ganduje’s Wife Arrested Over ‘N35M Land Fraud’

Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje, was reportedly arrested by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Mrs Ganduje was referred to the anti-graft agency by her son for her suspected involvement in bribery and land fraud, according to a report reviewed by iexclusive News Nigeria on Premium Times.

According to people familiar with Abdulazeez’s appeal, he claimed that he was approached by a property developer to assist in the acquisition of various land plots in Kano for hundreds of thousands of dollars and at least 35 million Naira in “facilitation commission.”

Abdulazeez stated he paid the money to his mother, Mrs Ganduje, in dollars.

She, on the other hand, did not accept the anti-graft invitation after it had been extended for weeks.

This online news outlet learned that Mrs Ganduje was still at the EFCC headquarters as of 6 a.m. on Monday.
