Graduates get digital skills through the DigiCorper programme from Polaris Bank, NYSC, and Nerdzfactory

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and Polaris Bank have announced the successful conclusion of the Digicorper Programme, a comprehensive programme for improving digital skills for Corps members serving in 12 states.

The Digicorper Programme was a high-impact capacity-building programme that sought to give 5,000 NYSC members the fundamental digital skills they needed to succeed in the quickly changing digital world of today. It held its virtual graduation over the weekend.

The six-month training course, which began in November 2022, was designed to provide recent graduates with the abilities they would need to succeed in their future undertakings.

Participants were exposed to a thorough curriculum geared to improve their digital knowledge and capabilities thanks to a strategic cooperation between Polaris Bank, NYSC, and the facilitating company, Nerdzfactory.

The programme offered hands-on instruction, enabling the graduates to excel in their careers and enterprises both during and after their service years by providing them with in-demand computer and digital skills.

Adekunle Sonola, the Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, expressed his gratitude for the alumni of the Digicorper Programme during the graduation ceremony for their outstanding accomplishments, commitment, and hard work.

He stressed the Bank’s dedication to being Nigeria’s top retail bank with a digital focus and the significance of cultivating a community of digital advancement believers to increase society’s capacity to take advantage of opportunities presented by the digital era.

Sonola congratulated the graduates on their achievements and emphasised Polaris Bank’s important role in improving society and ensuring that its clients continue to receive value.

He advised the graduates to uphold the fundamental principles that had served as their compass during the course, and he pushed them to remain focused, curious about new information, and adaptive in the face of uncertainty.

The Digicorper Program was praised by Madam Osijuwa, a spokesperson of the NYSC’s Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Development (SAED) programme, for giving corps members a special opportunity to learn critical tech and digital skills.

In order to give participants the skills they need to thrive in their careers and enterprises, she underlined the importance of the training.

Akpokiro Ejiroghene said, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude,” in response to being thanked.

One of the Digicorper graduates, Dipo, described his experience, saying that he learned useful information and implemented his newly gained abilities successfully, which finally assisted him in landing a job.
