Group: Andy Uba Is Not A Candidate For The November Election

A group of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has chastised Ogun State Governor, Mr. Dapo Abiodun, for declaring Senator Andy Uba the winner of the state’s gubernatorial primary poll.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the group known as The Progressives Media Team of the APC expressed disappointment in the Ogun governor at a briefing on Wednesday.

The group’s representative, Hon. Jude Orolua claimed that Abiodun fabricated statistics without holding a primary poll in the state.

He maintained that the APC is still seeking a gubernatorial candidate, maintaining that Andy Uba is not the party’s nominee.

Orolua said that the state’s gubernatorial primary election is far from settled and that nobody should make a claim to be the candidate.

“We want to declare unequivocally that no primary election was conducted anywhere in the state, and that the alleged declaration of anybody by the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led APC primary election committee in the state exists only in the committee’s and their accomplices’ imaginations in the state.”

“Members of our wonderful party throughout the state’s 326 political wards are still waiting for the electoral committee to complete their job for the party in the state as of 26th June 2021.

It is critical to note that as of 5:00 pm on Saturday 26th June 2021, there was no evidence of any APC Primary election taking place anywhere in the country, despite the huge attendance of APC members exercising their rights.

Additionally, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), many media organizations, and authorized observers for the Primary poll have all said unequivocally that there was no primary election,” he stated.

According to him, even candidates from the same local government as Senator Andy Uba have openly said that there was no accreditation, voting, or collation of results in the local government from where the so-called winner came.

According to him, history will repeat again “until this farce is adequately handled.”

He urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to punish Senator Andy Uba and Governor Dapo Abiodun.
