How Angry Mob Killed Darlington 27 Over Mkpuru Mmiri In Imo

An irate mob is said to have battered Darlington Ugboaja, a 27-year-old man, after a local drug, Methamphetamine, also known as Mkpuru mmiri, was discovered on him.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the deceased was beaten to death in Anara market in Imo state, causing panic and prompting traders to close their shops for fear of retaliation from the victim’s relatives.

According to a source at Punch, “They noticed him coming out of a drug-dealing bunk.”

They suspected he owned Mkpuru mmiri. They searched him promptly and discovered the drug. They smashed his hands on an electric pole and began beating him.

“He passed out and was brought to Anara Health Centre, but there was no doctor on duty at the time.” He was taken to a different hospital in Umunachi, where he was pronounced dead.”

A kinsman of the deceased, Kingsley Onyewuenyi told the publication that Ezihe community was saddened by the death of Ugboaja.
