I Attempted Suicide At Age 12- Lil Wayne

Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the rapper said that his attempted suicide altered his family’s opinion of his music ambitions.

Wayne Carter Jr, better known as Lil Wayne, an American rapper, has stated that he tried suicide when he was 12 years old.

“You can’t bring it to your friends at school because you’re still trying to be cool to them,” he said. “When you have no one to vent to, no one to get this out to, you can’t bring it to your friends at school because you’re still trying to be cool to them.”

Lil Wayne stated he battled for two years of his teens before his mother discovered he was skipping school.

He claimed he tried suicide when he was only 12 years old because he was afraid his mother would punish him for rapping.

Wayne claimed he dialed 911 and then went into his mother’s room to retrieve her revolver.

He started by holding the gun to his head, but when he became terrified, he chose to shoot himself in the chest, aiming for his heart.

“I didn’t feel a thing,” he recalled.
