Cristiano Ronaldo

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus have an ongoing contract that ends in the summer of 2021.

With a €31 million per-annum contract, the star is still one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

However, the year of the pandemic saw him agree on a €4 million reduction in order to help Juventus’ staffers not get fired.

Despite his age, Ronaldo remains as one of the most prolific goal-scorers in Italian football with 12 goals scored in 10 Serie A games.

In the Champions League, Cristiano already played four matches and he’s scored the same amount of goals.

The problem here is that Juventus might not be able to continue paying the same wages for more than one year.

Their intention is to sit down with Ronaldo for meetings about a new contract that will reduce his salary.

If he doesn’t agree to anything, Juventus will have to either sell him or trade him for another star player in the summer transfer window.

Ronaldo will wait until the end of the season.

Another reason Cristiano Ronaldo could decide to leave Juventus is directly linked to the results they get.

If they get eliminated from the Champions League this season, it’s possible Cristiano makes the decision to look for a new destination.

The clubs that might be interested in the player are only a handful that can pay his wages.

Those squads are PSG, Manchester United, Manchester City, or Real Madrid.

Los Blancos could entertain the idea of getting Ronaldo back but they are mostly betting on Kylian Mbappe.

As he enters the final year of his contract, a decision needs to be made by Juventus’ powers that be.

They simply can’t afford to ignore the situation as the clock keeps ticking
