Kenyan Ambassador To Testify In Nnamdi Kanu Abduction Case Dies Suddenly

Kenyan Ambassador Wilfred Machage, collapsed at his Abuja residence on Saturday and died, Kenya foreign affairs ministry said.

The death of Kenyan Ambassador Wilfred Machage, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, was confirmed by Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs..

On Saturday, Mr Machage fainted at his Abuja home and was transported to the hospital, where he died at 12:30 p.m.

“In January 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta named Machage as Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria.

In addition, 12 more countries in Central and Western Africa are authorized.

“He collapsed at home and was pronounced dead at the hospital after this unfortunate incident,” Kenya said.

“The country has lost a dedicated compatriot.”

The incident occurred as Nnamdi Kanu’s family, UK and Kenyan attorneys prepared to call Mr Machage.

To testify in the kidnapping case of the Biafra separatist leader in Nairobi.

Mr Machage had asserted in July 2021 that Kenya had played no role in Mr Kanu’s kidnapping.
