Kidnappers Demand N100 Million For Abducted LG Chairman, Kills Kogi Commissioner
Iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that N100 million is been demanded for the kogi local government currently held.
Mr. Pius Kolawole, who has been abducted by kidnappers are demanding for N100 million ransom before he can regain his freedom.
These kidnappers of the Yagba West Local Government Chairman in Kogi State abducted him around the boundary of Kogi and Kwara States during the weekend.
While Solomon Adebayo, the commissioner for pension of Kogi State, who was with him, was shot dead.
This online medium gathered from a reliable source that the kidnappers put a call through to the secretary of the local government late Sunday as well as one of the family members of the chairman to make this demands.
The source further revealed that, the kidnappers had also contacted the Kogi State Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Mr. Taofik Isah, who doubled as the Chairman of Ijumu council area of the need to hasten the negotiation.
We were also reliable informed that negotiation is still on going and the family, council area, and ALGON had agreed that the ALGON Chairman should continue with the negotiation.
The kidnappers claimed the life of the State Commissioner for Pension Board, popularly called Akeweje who was in the same vehicle with the chairman while the driver is receiving treatment in an Egbe hospital for the wounds he sustained during the incident.
The four year-old son of deceased who was in the vehicle at the time of attack was not harmed.
The kidnappers promised to call in the early hours of Monday to continue with the terms of negotiation which had not been done by the time this story filed in.
