Kodak Black US Rapper Arrested In Florida On Drug Trafficking Charges

Kodak Black is reportedly in trouble with the law again. According to TMZ, the Pompano Beach native was arrested on Friday (July 15) as he was cruising Fort Lauderdale in a Dodge Durango, which police believed had a little too much tint.

Kodak was stopped by police when they noticed that his car smelled strongly of marijuana. When they searched Kodak, they discovered 31 Oxycodone tablets and $74,960 in cash.

He had an expired license and tags, according to the police. He was thus sent to the Broward County Jail. Late on Friday night, Fox reporter Andy Slater tweeted that Kodak was facing trafficking charges.

“Kodak Black was arrested on Friday in South Florida,” he wrote. “Cops pulled over the rapper and during a search found 30+ Oxycodone pills and over $50,000 in cash, multiple sources tell me.” He added, “Kodak Black is being charged with trafficking, multiple sources tell me.”

Kodak Black’s rap career has been dogged by legal issues for years. In reality, if a presidential pardon hadn’t been granted to him, he most likely would still be behind bars. Lil Wayne and Kodak were both granted pardons by Donald Trump in January 2021, enabling for their quick release from jail.
