Kogi High Court Halts EFCC’s Actions Against Yahaya Bello

iexclusivenews – In a pivotal legal decision, the High Court of Lokoja, Kogi State, has issued a protective order for Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, safeguarding his fundamental human rights.

The court’s ruling effectively bars the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from any attempts to arrest, detain, or initiate legal proceedings against Bello without explicit court authorization.

Decisive Judgment Grants Bello Respite

The judgment, which spanned over two hours, was delivered in the esteemed High Court 4 by Hon. Justice I.A Jamil.

The case, referenced as HCL/68/M/2020, concluded with a definitive order, reinforcing an earlier provisional injunction.

This ruling comes as a result of a lawsuit filed by Alhaji Yahaya Bello himself, in which he sought legal intervention to protect his rights against the actions of the EFCC.
