Labour Party: Peter Obi unveils Baba-Ahmed as running mate
LABOUR Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has unveiled Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate.
Peter Obi, Friday named Baba-Ahmed his running mate at the LP national office in Abuja.
The LP vice-presidential candidate was introduced as Baba-Ahmed, the founder of Baze University in Abuja, on Friday.
The 46-year-old was a former politician who served as the senatorial representative for Kaduna North.
Baba-declaration Ahmed’s came just 24 hours after Doyin Okupe, the Director-General of the Peter Obi Campaign Organization.
Announced his resignation as the party’s vice-presidential candidate.

Okupe said that his party would reveal the replacement of the running mate for the presidential candidate.
After announcing his withdrawal via his verified Twitter handle @doyinokupe.
The Labour party had named Okupe as the interim vice presidential candidate of the LP in order to beat the deadline by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

What You Need To Know About Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed
Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the founder and pro-chancellor of Baze University in Abuja is Baba-Ahmed.
The politician was raised in Kaduna and earned an economics degree from the University of Maiduguri.
From 2003 until 2007, he served as the House of Representatives’ representative for the Zaria Federal Constituency.
Datti Baba-Ahmed was chosen to represent Kaduna North Senatorial District in the Senate in 2011.
