Leicester City win the Community Shield thanks to a goal from Iheanacho
Leicester City overcame Manchester City 1-0 in the Community Shield on Saturday, with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the game-winning goal off the bench.
The game was tied at 0-0 and appeared to be headed to penalty kicks.
With only three minutes left in the second half, Nathan Ake fouled Iheanacho in the penalty area.
Senior man Iheanacho took the ball and kicked it past Steffen in the City goal.
Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Leicester City, has already won two awards this year.
Last season’s FA Cup final saw the Foxes overcome Chelsea 1-0.
Next week, City will face Tottenham Hotspur in their championship defense, while Leicester will host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
