Nigeria’s first and oldest bilateral chamber of commerce is the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC).

It was founded in 1960 with the goal of improving business links between the United States and Nigeria.

The Chamber began as a Luncheon Club called the Nigerian-American Friendship Club, with a few prominent Nigerians and an American, including Late Sir. Mobolaji Bank Anthony, Chief (DR.) Christopher Ogunbanjo, and Bob Fleming, Mobil’s Public Relations Officer.

The Luncheon Club evolved into the NACC over time, with Sir Mobolaji Bank Anthony as its first President.

The NACC has evolved into a dynamic organization during the last 58 years.

It is a cornerstone of the relationship between the United States and Nigeria.

Assisting in the bringing together of people and principles in order to strengthen bilateral commercial connections between Nigeria and the United States.

The NACC has around 1000 members in 8 chapters across the country and in Houston, Texas, representing many sectors of the economy.

This has allowed the Chamber to achieve its lofty goals and objectives, such as increasing trade and commerce investment between Nigeria and the United States.

In addition, engaging with the Nigerian government and its agencies around the country on trade and industrial issues.
