Naija News: Lagos Shuts Down Redeemers School See Why
Lagos State Government has shut down the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba.
iexclusivenews reports that the sanction came after Chidera Eze, a five-year-old student, passed away during a swimming lesson.
This online news outlet understands that Chidera reportedly fell into the pool while he and his friends were nearby playing.
At the Ivory Health Club on Ogundana Street in Ikeja, the incident happened in May.
Anthony Eze, the father of the deceased, attributed his child’s death to the carelessness of the school administration.

The Redeemers School will continue to be closed while an administrative investigation is being conducted. The Ministry of Education announced on Monday.
According to a statement by the commissioner for education, Folashade Adefisayo. Investigations into the organization’s practices and officials’ behavior with regard to safety standards will be conducted.

Meanwhile, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that according to her. An initial investigation by the Office of Education Quality Assurance revealed that the school has not finished its registration and is therefore not approved.
The parents and guardians were advised by the commissioner to take note of the closure and wait for the investigation’s conclusion.
“The Ministry is concerned about the safety of the pupils, hence the need for intervention,” she noted.
