Naira scarcity: Violence Ikorodu, Agege, Other Areas in Lagos

Protests against the naira scarcity notes have spread to Agege, Ikorodu, spreads to, and other parts of Lagos State.

Hoodlums stormed major roads in Mile-12, Ketu and Ojota areas, along Ikorodu Road, and Iyana-Ipaja on Friday morning.

iexclusivenews reports that later, the violence spread to Agege, Ikorodu, and Iyana Iba.

As the rioters went berserk with bonfires set across the road, motorists and residents on their way to various places of work hurriedly turned back in panic.

Confirming the unrest, the spokesman of the Police Command in Lagos said:

“It is true. Our men are there. Reinforcement units have been deployed. Stay safe out there as we closely monitor and manage the situation.”
