Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Set To Break Guinness World Record

Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci, real name Hilda Effiong Bassey, is about to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking time.

Hilda has been cooking non-stop for over 70 hours. With few hours left to surpass the existing Guinness record of 87 hours, 45 minutes set by Chef Lata London in Rewa, India in 2019.

The 27-year-old Akwa Ibom Chef has prepared more than 200 meals and served over 2,795 individuals thus far.

The Akwa Ibom state-born chef started cooking on the 11th of May. And she is on her way to breaking the Guinness Book of Records for the longest cooking time.

So far, Chef Baci has cooked for over 70 hours and counting.

She tagged the cooking project “Cook-a-thon”, a phrase literally coined from the word “marathon”

However, she maintained the standard of excellence that her brand is known for and is not compromising on quality.

In her quest to break the Guinness World Record, she has inspired many and left them short of words.

Hilda is set to cook for 96 hours with only 6 hours of rest. With approximately 18 hours remaining to break the Guinness World Record.

Many well-known celebrities decided to actively support Hilda’s endeavor as a result of her success and zeal.

Some of them even showed up at the event to give her words of support and encouragement.

However, iexclusivenews reports that those that showed up to expressed their support for the chef. Including celebrities such as actress Iyabo Ojo Tonto Dikeh, comedian Macaroni, actor Ike Ogbonna, and Tobi Bakre.

As she approaches finishing her Guinness record, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has also flocked to the location to express her support.
