1. No fewer than 13 persons sustained various degrees of injuries on Thursday night after a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker exploded at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, opposite Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja.

2. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers has warned LG chairmen not to borrow money without his permission. He issued the warning on Thursday to newly sworn-in LG chairmen. 3. Bandits on Thursday killed a policeman and abducted five teachers and an unspecified number of pupils from the Federal Government College, Birnin-Yauri, in the Yauri area of Kebbi State. Spokesman of the Police Command, Nafiu Abubakar said in a statement that operatives were in hot pursuit of the bandits.

4. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has in the last 100 days recovered $261 million, N6 billion, and 13,000 pounds illegally acquired by suspected criminals. EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa gave these details during the Presidential Media Team ministerial briefing at Aso Villa in Abuja yesterday.

5. Imo State Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, has ordered the immediate deployment of special forces to the rural areas in a bid to totally end the activities of unknown gunmen ravaging the state. He stated this while briefing the Special Forces at the command headquarters in Owerri, yesterday.
