Nigerians React Over CCT’s Use Of Biafran Boys Tag On ‘Danladi Umar Assault’ Press Release
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Nigerians on Twitter Wednesday reacted with outrage over the use of the phrase ‘Biafran boys’
In a press statement by CCT on the assault involving the chairman Justice Danladi Umar.
Umar was caught on camera assaulting a security guard at Banex Plaza, Abuja on Monday.
CCT spokesman, Ibraheem Al-Hassan in a press statement accused the guard of being rude and issuing a threat against Umar following an altercation between them over a parking space on the plaza’s premises.
“As the few policemen in the complex were apparently overwhelmed by the mobs, consisting of Biafran boys throwing matches and shape object to his car, which led to deep cut and dislocation in one of his finger, causing damage to his car, smashing his windscreen,” the error-filled statement signed by Mr Al-Hassan read.
The use of the phrase ‘Biafran boys’ has got Nigerians talking on social media. See reactions below:
