NiMet Predicts 3-day Rain, Thunderstorms Across States
From Wednesday through Friday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) predicts rain and thunderstorms in various states.
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the two weather conditions were anticipated by a meteorological forecast issued on Tuesday for Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Borno, Zamfara, and Sokoto states on Wednesday morning.
Thunderstorms are predicted in the afternoon and nighttime hours across areas of Gombe, Borno, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, and Zamfara.
In the early hours, rain is expected to fall in portions of Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Later in the day, moderate showers are expected in areas of Niger, Nasarawa, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, and Kogi States.
The southern coastal towns are anticipated to be overcast in the early hours, with rain showers across sections of Lagos, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States.
In the afternoon and evening hours, rain is predicted in portions of Osun, Edo, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Rivers, Cross Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and Delta States.
Cloudy sky and rain are forecast for areas of Kano, Katsina, and Sokoto states on Thursday morning.
Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected across areas of Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Gombe, Katsina, Bauchi, and Borno states.
In the afternoon and evening hours, isolated showers are expected across areas of Plateau, FCT, Nasarawa, and Niger States.
In the afternoon and evening hours, NiMET forecasted rain in portions of Edo, Ekiti, Oyo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Lagos, and Bayelsa states.
Cloudy skies are forecast for Friday, with rain predicted in areas of Yobe, Sokoto, and Katsina in the morning.
Rain is expected to fall in areas of Kogi, Niger, Kwara, Plateau, Benue, and the FCT in the afternoon and evening.
Later in the day, rain is expected in areas of Imo, Oyo, Ogun, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Bayelsa.
