Nnamdi Kanu: Court Adjourns Till November, Sends Him Back To DSS Custody

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was denied a transfer to the Kuje Correctional Centre on Thursday.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court denied Kanu’s request to be transferred from the Department of State Service (DSS) custody.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the pro-Biafra agitator’s lawyer, asked the court to transfer the pro-Biafra agitator from DSS custody to Kuje jail.

However, Ejiofor’s application was denied by the trial court, Justice Nyako.

Kanu’s request has been denied for the second time by the court.

The IPOB leader had requested to be transferred to the prison in July, stating that the Department of State Services (DSS) had tortured him to “mental and psychological abuse,” but his request was denied.

As a result, Justice Nyako postponed the case to November 10 to determine the competency of the accusations brought against him by the Federal Government.

Nyako, on the other hand, ruled that Kanu’s choice of three persons be permitted to visit him every Thursday.
