The IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, was apprehended in Kenya in June and extradited to Nigeria, where he faces treason charges.

He was then charged and brought before Binta Nyako, a Federal High Court judge in Abuja, who requested that he be remanded in the Department of State Services’ custody (DSS).

In reaction to his agitation for the Republic of Biafra, Kanu is facing accusations bordering on treasonable felony filed against him in court.

The planned July trial was postponed by the judge, who postponed it until October 21.

Despite Kanu’s detention, some of his followers have resorted to social media to express their joy.
