Obaseki Vows To Prosecute Sexual Offenders

Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State, has stated that his administration will not accept any type of abuse or agony perpetrated on women or minors in the state by sex violators, adding that the government will be ruthless in dealing with such criminals.

iexclusive News Nigeria report that this was mentioned by Obaseki at a dinner celebration held at the Government House in Benin City in honor of the Nigerian Academy of Science.

“I feel sad for anyone who becomes embroiled or accused of gender-based violence; he will know that Edo has no place for such acts,” the governor remarked.

You can do everything you want everywhere else except Edo.

“We take this crime seriously, and we prevent you from harming our women or youngsters in Edo since you have the strength and energy to dominate or oppress them. I want to reassure you that Edo will continue to lead the way, especially in terms of citizen protection.”

“As a government, our priority is to keep our citizens safe and secure. We’re fostering an environment that encourages our individuals to express themselves and become the persons God intended them to be.

“As a government, our job is to liberate our citizens from fear and threats, allowing them to express themselves creatively. We aren’t looking for anyone’s dominance.”
