Panic As Two Cultist Groups Clash At Obalende.
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that two cultist fractions are currently at loggerheads at Obalende.
Rival groups of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) have clashed in Obalende, a busy Lagos Island suburb, with gunshots heard as motorists and commuters scamper for safety.
According to reports and videos on Twitter, Eyewitnesses say the clash commenced as early as 8am on Thursday, February 11, 2021. At the time of filing this, the place is still a rowdy mess.
Nigerians have been advised to avoid Obalende or be careful around the area as stray bullets are in the air and properties are being vandalised.
Nigerians are currently calling on the Nations Defenders to report to the scene immediately.
Police officers have been pictured barricading themselves within the walls of the nearest police headquarters facility, as violence breaks around them.
