Peter Obi Supporters Lock Down Umuahia Vow To Deliver 90% Abia Votes

Peter Obi’s supporters, The OBI-DIENT movement on saturday, locked down Umuahia the Abia State capital in a solidarity rally for him.

iexclusivenews reports that the rally, dubbed “#I Million Man-March For Peter Obi and Datti-Ahmed,” began at the Abia Tower Junction of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

And proceeded through the Government House/Bank Road to Aba Road before concluding at the ShopRite junction, just after the popular Isi-Gate axis of Umuwaya Road.

The massive swarm of supporters floated down the major streets, screaming solidarity songs and dancing to the delight of neighbors.

Other road users had a hectic day trying to meander through adjourning roads to avoid being stuck in traffic as the joyous and peaceful procession began around 8:00 a.m. and lasted until after noon.

Thousands of excited supporters, largely young people from varied political backgrounds, pledged to mobilize Abia voters in support of Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

According to some of them who spoke with our Correspondent, Obi will receive more than 90% of the votes cast in Abia in the upcoming elections.

Mr Bassey Prince, who is from Akwa Ibom State’s Itu Local Government Area but lives in Umuahia, told Vanguard that he was campaigning for Obi because of his credibility, vision, and antecedents.

” I believe in his agenda to change Nigeria from consumption to production country’, he said.

According to Bassey, the Umuahia North Coordinator of the Peter Obi Support Network, Nigerian youngsters regard Obi as a light of hope and a solution to the country’s many ills.

Similarly, Emmanuel Ugwumsinachi stated that he attended the gathering because he wanted Obi to take over the country and alter it in the same way that he did as Governor of Anambra State.

Mrs Ifunanya Iheazor, another backer of the Obi/Datti movement, predicted that Nigeria will see true change under Obi’s presidency.

” Everything is not about money. We are tired of money bags in politics. We need a real change, and we see in Obi the change we desire”.

Prince Solomon, the Abia State Coordinator of the Peter Obi Support Network, also spoke about the rally’s enormous turnout, saying it “has sent alarm waves down the spine of those with structure.”

He said that Obi’s growing popularity was due to his exceptional leadership qualities and had nothing to do with his tribe or party.

Solomon, who stated that the 2023 election would be “individual and not party-based,” challenged other contenders who believe they will hide behind Obi’s goodwill to reconsider.

” I’m excited Abia people have come out en mass to show support for a man who has shown integrity in holding public office.

“There were other Nigerians who held this same office that Peter Obi held but if you mention their names today people will vomit.

” Those who think they can hide under Obi’s goodwill should think twice. They should emulate him if they want Nigerians to look their way. In the coming election people will vote for Obi and other credible candidates like him in other parties especially those who have impacted on youths”.

Adding her voice, the Abia State Lead Coordinator of all Peter Obi pro-groups, Madam Maltida said the

“Obi-Datti movement is unstoppable and will consume all the undemocratic forces holding the country down”.

She stated that Nigerian youths have risen to reclaim their country from the political elites who were keeping it back.

According to her, when the campaign ban is repealed, Nigeria will see unparalleled rallies for any presidential contender.
