Police Arrest Portable Over Unpaid G-Wagon Debt

LAGOS, (iexclusivenews) – The Lagos State Police Command arrested popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, on Tuesday for refusing to pay his debt to a car dealer.

Portable had purchased a G-Wagon from the car dealer for N27 million but only paid N13 million and refused to pay the remaining N14 million.

Portable’s Excuse for Not Paying

Portable claimed that the vehicle was faulty whenever the car dealer contacted him to pay the balance.

The car dealer reported the matter to the police, and Portable was arrested after efforts to get him to pay the balance proved unsuccessful.

What the Police are Saying

When contacted, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed Portable’s arrest, stating,

“Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m, and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today”.
