Prince Harry and Meghan to Arrive  Nigeria on Friday 

iexclusivenews – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are set to arrive in Nigeria on Friday for a 3-day private visit.

The royal couple was invited by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to interact with wounded soldiers and support their recovery efforts.

Supporting Wounded Soldiers

Prince Harry, founder of the Invictus Games, will spend three days in Nigeria engaging with wounded soldiers and their families.

The visit, from May 10th to 13th, aims to boost the soldiers’ recovery efforts and improve their mental health and self-esteem.

Recovery Programmes and Engagements

The Director of Sports at the Defence Headquarters,

Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, highlighted the success of the recovery programmes, with 80% of soldiers showing improvement.

The visit will include a volleyball match, a reception with families of wounded and injured soldiers, and a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos State.

Itinerary and Engagements

  • Friday: Arrival and reception, followed by a visit to the Chief of Defence Staff and Wuse Light Academy

  • Saturday: Exhibition novelty match, reception with families of wounded and injured soldiers, and a sitting volleyball match

  • Sunday: Courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, basketball exhibition match at a school supported by their NGO, and a reception before departing Abuja on Monday
