According to witnesses at the site of a fatal shooting at a cookie shop in Memphis, the victim was rapper Young Dolph. The revelation was corroborated by local news network FOX13, which cited sources.

The incident occurred at Makeda’s Butter Cookies, 2370 Airways Boulevard, and Memphis Police were on the scene.

Young Dolph strolled into the store to buy cookies, according to the shop owner, who told FOX13 his staff. Then someone came up behind him and fired and killed him.’

There was no mention of a probable suspect right away.

Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. was the real name of young Dolph. He was 36 years old at the time.

King of Memphis, his debut studio album, was released in 2016 and reached number 49 on the Billboard 200 chart.
