Southern Governors: Our Region Should Produce The Next President 

 

Southern Governors of Nigeria have unanimously decided that the region should produce the country’s next president.

 

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that this was the resolution of the Southern Governors’ Forum at the conclusion of a meeting held on Monday at Lagos House, Alausa.

The 17 Southern Governors also agreed that Nigeria’s president should be rotated between Southern and Northern Nigeria.

Arakunrun Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State and Chairman of the Forum, reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to equity and fairness politics.

 

He reaffirmed their commitment to Nigeria’s unity based on the foundations of justice, growth, and peaceful coexistence among its people.

 

The Forum assessed the country’s security situation and thanked security personnel for their unwavering efforts to restore security and safety, while also commiserating with the families and loved ones of those who have died in the line of duty.
