Super Falcons’ Goalkeeper, Ayegba, Turns Bus Driver In UK

Rachael Aladi Ayegba, a former goalkeeper for the Nigerian women’s national football team, is now a bus driver in the United Kingdom.

Ayegba represented Nigeria at the 2007 Women’s World Cup, the 2006 and 2008 African Women’s Championships, and spent 11 years as a professional in Finland, where she won the league title with PK-35 Vantaa in 2013.

She now drives the number 185 between Lewisham and Victoria, according to sources.

Despite having coaching credentials, Ayegba, whose favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo, says she no longer plays football.
