Taylor Hawkins death details has emerged from Colombian Authorities

iexclusivenews reports that the shocking and unexpected death Friday of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins is still under investigation, Colombian authorities said Saturday

Taylor Hawkins died at a hotel located in the town of Chapinero in Bogotá, Colombia. Local health officials said in a press release Saturday morning.

An ambulance was dispatched from Bogotá’s emergency center to the hotel.

According to the Spanish-language press statement, they had received reports of “a patient with chest problems.”

Attempts were made to revive Hawkins. “However, no answer was received, and the patient was pronounced dead,” according to the District Department of Health in Bogotá.

According to local health officials, teams from EMI, a health organization that provides home health care services, also reacted to the incident.

Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters is mourned by shocked fans and the music industry.

Hawkins’ body was taken away from the crime scene. Outside the hotel, a crowd quickly formed. With some holding a candlelight vigil to remember the drummer who had died.

“The District Department of Health mourns the death of this talented musician and drummer, widely recognized internationally for his work.” Colombian health officials said in a statement. “Besides, the entity sends its message of condolences to the family, colleagues and followers.”

A “team of prosecutors and detectives has been assigned to attend the urgent situation and support the investigation,” Colombia’s attorney general’s office stated in a tweet Saturday morning.

Hawkins’ cause of death has yet to be revealed, either by the band or Colombian authorities.

“In this impossibly difficult time, our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect,” the band wrote.
