Victor Osimhen Responds Firmly to Transfer Rumors as Chelsea Faces £100m Napoli Demand

Osimhen, who scored 27 goals and provided five assists in 34 appearances this season, has attracted interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United.

Chelsea’s poor performance in the Premier League this season has left them in desperate need of a new striker for next season.
The team has only scored 31 goals in 33 games, and they are currently languishing in the bottom half of the table, just nine points clear of relegation.
Todd Boehly, the team’s owner, plans to overhaul the senior squad this summer and bring in world-class reinforcements in key positions.
Meanwhile, iexclusivenews reports that Manchester United is said to be prioritizing a move for Randal Kolo Muani. Giving Chelsea a significant advantage in their pursuit of Osimhen.
What Napoli Is Saying
However, Napoli is reportedly demanding a fee of around £100 million for the 24-year-old striker, whose contract is set to expire in 2025.
Osimhen is regarded as one of the best finishers in Europe, with his height, pace, and physicality making him an attractive prospect for Premier League clubs.
According to Calciomercato, Boehly is willing to double Osimhen’s current salary of €4.5 million (£3.9 million) to beat Manchester United to his signature.
However, Chelsea’s lack of European football next season may make it difficult to convince Osimhen to move to Stamford Bridge.
After scoring the equalizer for Napoli in their 1-1 draw against Udinese, Osimhen was asked about his future, to which he responded:
“It’s not the right time to discuss my future. I just want to enjoy this incredible title. I can’t wait to return to Napoli and hug the fans – I’m so happy for them.”
It remains to be seen whether Osimhen will be leaving Napoli this summer, but with the Serie A title now won. It is likely that more updates on his future will emerge soon.
