Why IPOB Closed US Bank Account

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Nnamdi Kanu, have announced the closing of their bank account in the United States of America.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the account was terminated due to suspicions of fraudulent activity by “certain unknown people.”

According to a statement issued by IPOB’s Head of Directorate, Chika Edoziem, the account operated as a “global” platform for members of the separatist organization to submit their monthly payments.

According to Edoziem, the company chose to close the account after receiving a notification from the bank that certain “yet to be named people” accused it of unlawfully managing the account.

Another account, he claims, has been established for the same purpose.

“Families were ordered to put in their monthly contributions when the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide, Nnamdi Kanu, authorized the creation of the IPOB USA,” the statement says.

“That our commander designated this identical USA national account as the account for ESN (Eastern Security Network) international donations.

“Following a complaint to the bank that this account is fraudulent by yet-to-be-identified people, the bank asked that the account be closed.”

Nnamdi Kanu, the supreme head of the separatist organization, was recently captured in Kenya, East Africa, and returned to Nigeria to stand prosecution.
