..“Don’t sell your sons because you are governors today. Don’t sell your sons and daughters because of political promises you may not know the outcome in the future”..

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), has stated that handcuffing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, self-proclaimed leader of the secessionist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), will not halt the movement for Nigeria’s separation.

Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the Catholic priest, who spoke during a sermon, stated that even if the Nigerian government arrests hundreds of secessionists, the agitation would continue owing to the country’s difficulties.

Mbaka, who blamed the current agitation in the Southeast (Biafra) and Southwest (Oduduwa) on the nation’s suffering, claimed that the Southeast Governors influenced Kanu’s fall.

“Even if they put handcuffs on hundreds of Nigerians, the agitation will not stop,” he stated.

Handcuffing them will exacerbate their agitation. You can’t bind people when they can’t afford to eat. Enugu’s school fees are among the highest in the country.

And, despite their parents’ efforts to train their children, the children will remain at home.

“The agitation will not be quenched simply because some people are handcuffed. As a result, I requested our leaders to sit down and refrain from selling their people.

“Don’t sell your sons because you are governors today. Don’t sell your sons and daughters because of political promises you may not know the outcome in the future”.
