Yahoo Boys Received A Jail Term While Grinning

Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that two internet scammers known as yahoo boys, are being arraigned to count, the boys were smiling in their mugshot after they were sentenced to prison.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned John Padre Akor and Aondoaver Aondoseer before Justice Abdu Dogo of the Federal High Court in Makurdi, Benue State, on one-count separate charges bordering on criminal impersonation and obtaining money from foreign nationals under false pretense on Thursday, July 8.

After the defendants pleaded guilty to the accusation, Justice Dogo found them guilty and punished them accordingly.

Akor was sentenced to three (3) years in prison, with a fine of N1.5 million as an option. A Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 4matic model from 2015, as well as a phone recovered from him and suspected of being proceeds of crime, were ordered forfeited to the Nigerian government.

Aondoseer, on the other hand, was given a two-year term with the possibility of a fine of N1 million. His phones were confiscated by the Nigerian government
