Igboho’s Wife, Others Released in Ekiti —Aide

 

The wife of Yoruba rights campaigner  Sunday Igboho, and others kidnapped by gunmen in the early hrs of Thursday have been released.

 

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Dapo Salami, the activist’s media aide, said the abducted victims were released by gunmen in Ekiti state.

 

“They have, indeed, been liberated. That is correct. They were discovered in Ekiti, according to Salami, who spoke to SaharaReporters.

 

One of the victims, on the other hand, stated they were given N20,000 to board bus bound for Ibadan.

 

“The DSS was hesitant to release a female blogger and six other boys while they were in Ekiti State. 

 

“The corpses of five individuals who were purportedly killed by DSS and soldiers have been deposited at a specific mortuary in Ekiti State,” a released victim told the Sun.

 

“When we got off, they gave us N20,000 for the trip to Ibadan. They did not beat us or mistreat us during our ride in the DSS operative vehicles.”

iexclusive News Nigeria reported that Ighoho’s house in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo state, was attacked around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

 

At least ten of the self-styled activist’s vehicles, including his G-wagon and Prado SUVs, as well as costly properties, furnishings, and windows, were destroyed.

 

Bullet holes were also discovered on the compound’s buildings, and our correspondent saw blood on the floor.
