Meanwhile, D’Tigers’ victory over Team USA and Argentina was dedicated to the late Nigerian artist Sound Sultan by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).

”We dedicate the victories against the United States and Argentina to the late Olanrewaju Fasasi,” the NBBF announced on its verified Twitter feed (Sound Sultan).

”You predicted that Nigeria will become a formidable power in international basketball. Ironically, you gave up the ghost on the day we defeated Team USA. RIP.”
