Paul Adefarasin, Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church in Lagos, has dubbed Frederick Lugard the “devil’s incarnation” for uniting the northern and southern areas.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Mr Lugard, the country’s former colonial governor, was responsible for the merger, adding that Nigerians are still suffering as a result of his actions many years ago.

“It was Nigeria’s parents who were bad parents. Lord Lugard was the devil incarnate, and the damage he inflicted on our nation is still being felt many years later. It is past time for us to speak the truth,” Mr Adefarasin said in a recent video circulating online.

“It is definitely necessary,” he said, adding that “those of you who profit from the system when the judgement comes, unless you extract yourself in the righteousness of God, that is your own problem.”

The preacher urged those who profit from the system to emulate Robin Hood by “stealing” from the government and donating to the needy.

While listing a number of issues in Nigeria, he also said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was a “fraud” due to the inaccuracy of statistics provided during elections.

“I addressed the economy,” Mr Adefarasin said. I alluded to culture. I’m going to intentionally enter politics and governance. By the way, if you do not address some of Nigeria’s issues today, one of them being this INEC issue; I would state unequivocally that INEC is a scam.

“ If no one speaks out against injustice, the righteous should speak, because righteousness is not something we achieve on our own. It is his (God).

“This is the only nation in West Africa where moving to the ocean via the desert results in a reduction in population, or rather the only place in the world where moving to a big amount (sic) of water or little or no water results in an increase in population.”
