Ohanaeze Youths Charge Military, Show Your Force Now As Fulani Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, has condemned the Fulani herdsmen attack in Enugu State’s Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area on Monday morning.

iexclusive News Nigeria had reported that the incident killed several individuals and left others with fatal injuries.

Herdsmen were alleged to have ambushed the agricultural village in the early hours of the morning, killing some of the locals.

The incident was reprehensible, according to the OYC’s President-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, and Secretary-General, Comrade Obinna Achuonye.

“We awoke to yet another round of slaughter by rampaging Fulani herders.

This isn’t the first time Uzo-Uwani has been subjected to such devastation; we won’t soon forget how Nimbo, also in the area, was subjected to a similar terrible attack that left scores dead.

“Now we have another round of such heinous and heinous murders. We are in excruciating anguish as a result of this terrible revelation.

“This is the type of circumstance that prompted the IPOB to create ESN, as they watched helplessly while our people were killed throughout the years,” the OYC added.

“It is rather sad that Nigeria security forces exhibit weakness whenever Fulani herders are involved in crime, but they become python when it comes to the ESN,” the youth group stated, criticizing security officials for doing little in the face of senseless slaughter by Fulani herdsmen.

“We watched the Army declare just a few days ago that they had demolished the ESN camp in Amagunze, Enugu State, yet the same military is unable to enter the woods and catch Fulani herdsmen who are killing our people and raping our women.”

“Now is the moment for the military to demonstrate its valor, and the Uzo-Uwani event serves as a litmus test.

“Ndigbo is watching and losing patience; the military must arrest these murderous herdsmen, dead or alive because it is the only way to restore Nigerians’ faith in them,” Ohanaeze added.
