Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that several Chadian media outlets reported that 24 Chadian soldiers were killed in an attack by Boko Haram terrorists in the Lake Chad region on the night of August 4 to 5.

According to Xinhua, army spokesperson Azem Bermandoa Agouna acknowledged the attack on the Chadian army post in Tchoukoutalia, Lac province.

Agouna, on the other hand, stated that a counter-offensive is currently underway. Boko Haram is claimed to have targeted Lac province on several occasions.

According to a source who requested anonymity,

“Six people died, including a soldier in the attack in Kaiga-Kindjiria district.”

Kaiga-Kindjiria is in Lac province, which borders the huge Lake Chad, which Chad, Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria share.
