See What Armed Group Told Bandits To Do To Government Official In Zamfara

As a consequence of the actions of an armed group that has been battling bandits, there is now tension in sections of the Dansadau Emirate of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that last Friday, members of a gang were seen riding motorcycles through the Dandalla neighborhood.

Dandalla is a small hamlet 15 kilometers south of Dansadau.

A forest bordering the Birnin Gwari axis of neighboring Kaduna State sits farther south of the town.

The group’s members, who had long beards, each conducted their Jumat prayer separately before preaching to the bandits to cease destroying communities.

Instead of targeting peasant farmers and preventing them from working on their farms, they suggested they should use their weapons on government officials, according to reliable sources.

Alhaji Mustapha Umar, the Wazirin Dansadau, informed Daily Trust that a community resident verified the news to him.

“It is true that armed guys arrived in the neighborhood. Residents are afraid that they may be inspired by Boko Haram ideology.”

One of the gang members was shot by a bandit after Allah Mustapha preached to them, according to Allah Mustapha, who was previously abducted by the gunmen but freed after a ransom was paid.

“The assassination of one of the group’s members ignited a bloodbath amongst them, with several of the bandits being murdered. Even the bandits are terrified of the actions of this armed gang in the forest, as I learned from their talk when I was in their custody,” he added.

For many years, criminals have kept communities, particularly in the south, east, and west of Dansadau town, hostage.

The bandits are gaining influence over the locals and are the ones who adjudicate between people whenever there is a disagreement.
