AFCON 2021: Aubameyang Missed Gabon vs Ghana March See Why

AFCON 2021 – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal striker has been ruled out of Gabon’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana due to a minor heart problem.

Aubameyang was ruled out of the team’s first Group C match against Comoros on Monday AFCON 2021 after testing positive for COVID-19.

However, the Gabonese federation announced that their captain, Axel Meye, and Nice’s Mario Lemina will all miss Friday’s game at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.

All three were recently diagnosed with COVID-19, and recent medical examinations revealed that they are suffering from minor heart problems as a result of the illness.

“According to the CAF medical commission, the players Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Axel Meye, and Mario Lemina, who have just returned from Covid, cannot participate in this match,” the Gabonese Federation tweeted.

“The tests would reveal cardiac lesions.” CAF didn’t want to take any chances.”
