Peter Obi’s Presidency Has Been Thwarted By Father Mbaka

iexclusive news reports that Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), has spoken out against the Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, becoming President of Nigeria in the 2023 election.

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State in southeast Nigeria, was elected Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 election after Prof. Pat Utomi, a presidential aspirant on the Labour Party platform, stepped down and endorsed Obi, who recently joined the Labour Party from the PDP.

On Monday, May 30, 2022, Pat Utomi, a famous professor of political economy, stepped aside and endorsed Obi at the party’s presidential primary in Delta.

Obi had said after joining Labour Party: “ For me, the process of achieving our goal is as fundamental as what one will do thereafter.

“Therefore, I have chosen a route that I consider to be in line with our aspirations and my mantra of taking the country from consumption to production; and that is the Labour Party which is synonymous with the people, workers, development, production, securing and uniting Nigerians as one family.”

Since Obi’s emergence as the Labour Party candidate, Nigerians, especially the youths have been campaigning and urging others to vote for the former Anambra State governor come to the 2023 election, claiming that “Peter Obi will fix Nigeria“.

While some Nigerians are campaigning for Obi as their preferred candidate for the 2023 election, others have pitched tents with Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, and Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate.

Giving his opinion on Obi’s candidacy for the 2023 election like other Nigerians, Father Mbaka said Nigerians are hungry hence they don’t need a stingy man as their President.

“A stingy man cannot be our President, we are already hungry, we need a generous person. Nigerians are hungry, are we not hungry”? Father Mbaka asked the crowd.

The genesis of Peter Obi’s stinginess according to Father Mbaka

iexclusive news recalls that  in December 2018, Father Mbaka chastised Obi, who was Atiku Abubakar’s running partner for the 2019 election, for failing to complete a project for his church and threatened him with dire repercussions.

Father Mbaka withheld Obi’s blessing in a video that went viral at the time, saying he would only deliver it once Obi completed a project for Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry.

“My brother and Governor, stand before all of us and tell what you want to do for God,” The fiery priest had said in December 2018.

Responding, Obi said: “Father, what I said is straightforward. You will come and show me the project so that the two of us will talk. That is what I said.”

Apparently displeased by Obi’s stinginess, Father Mbaka then accused the former Anambra governor of making a “political statement” and being deceitful.

“I can only bear witness to what I have tasted. You can be promising and doing for them in Anambra. In your capacity and what God has done for you as governor, God hates stinginess. What I am saying is not to please you, but what will save your life. Otherwise, you and Atiku will fail”, the Catholic priest had warned.

Meanwhile, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Father Mbaka’s opinion on Peter Obi’s presidency comes at a time when Nigerians are demanding that power be returned to the south, particularly the southeast, for justice and equity.
