Headies Award 2022: BNXN Bags Next Rated Award, Gets 2022 Bentley [Full list of winners]

BNXN, a Nigerian popstar, formerly known as Buju, is this year’s next rated award winner at the recently concluded Headies award. Which was held in the early hours of Monday at the Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States.

iexclusivenews reports that the winner of the Next Rated category receives a brand-new car as part of the prize, as is customary at the annual award presentation.

However, the show’s organizers took it a step further this year by awarding BNXN, the category winner, a brand new 2022 Bentley.

The vocalist beat out Ayra Starr, Lojay, Ruger, and Zinoleesky for the honor. He dedicated the trophy to his late mother, who he said died of cancer, while on stage.

Wizkid, Patoranking, and Ayra Starr also won big at The Headies.

Wizkid, who was represented by his manager, Sunday Are, took home multiple awards for his 2020 Made in Lagos album.

Wizkid has won several awards, including ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Best Collaboration,’ and ‘Album of the Year.’

Ayra Starr also won the ‘Headies’ Viewer’s Choice’ category, beating out several heavyweights such as Wizkid and Olamide.

This year’s event is titled ‘Join the Movement,’ and it is the first time the show will be staged outside of the country.

The event was hosted by actress Osas Ighodaro and American actor and comedian Anthony Anderson.
