Twitter Top Brass Sacked As Elon Musk’s Takeover Begins

Elon Musk reportedly completed his $44 billion buyout of Twitter on October 27 and has began his stint at the company by cleaning house at the highest executive level.

iexclusivenews understands that according to several reports, CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and head of law and policy Vijaya Gadde have all been fired, with Musk accusing them of deceiving him about the number of spam accounts on the site.

According to Reuters sources, Agrawal and Segal were “escorted out” of the company’s headquarters as the deal finalized.

Mr Musk had attempted to withdraw from the Twitter acquisition in July, accusing the firm of making “false and misleading statements” about the number of spam and phony accounts.

Elon Musk intends to transform the platform into a bulwark of free speech, modify the algorithms to prevent political echo chambers. And eliminate any bogus and spam accounts now that the sale has been completed.

Mr Musk reaffirmed his intentions for purchasing Twitter in an open letter to Twitter advertisers on Oct. 27. Stating it is critical for the “future of civilisation” to have a “shared digital town square” devoid of political divisiveness.

He went on to say that he bought the network “to benefit humanity, whom I love,” and that he wants Twitter to be the “most renowned advertising platform in the world.”

Musk is aware of the “meme-ability” of the prolonged deal and was filmed walking into Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters on Oct. 26 carrying a sink tweeting “let that sink in” while also changing his Twitter bio to “Chief Twit.”

However, iexclusivenews Nigeria understands that the Washington Post reported on Oct. 20 that Musk planned to lay off up to 75% of Twitter’s employees.

Bloomberg article days later revealed that Musk assured Twitter employees on Oct. 26 during his visit that the statements were untrue. And that he had no plans to lay off any employees.

Those at the top of the Twitter tree, on the other hand, have just discovered the opposite.
