Hilda Baci Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Cooking Marathon

Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, has made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

iexclusivenews reports that the 26-year-old Nigerian chef cooked for an astonishing 93 hours and 11 minutes, preparing over 100 pots of food in four days.

Hilda Baci started her culinary challenge on Thursday 11 May and finished on Monday 15 May, showcasing her skills and passion for cooking. She aimed to cook for 100 hours, but some extra minutes were deducted from her total time due to a minor mistake in one of her rest breaks at the beginning of the attempt.

Guinness World Records confirmed Hilda’s achievement on its website, saying:

“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
