Lil Tay Alive and Well, Claims Her Instagram Was Hacked

The internet was shocked yesterday when a post on Lil Tay’s Instagram account announced that the 14-year-old rapper and her brother had died. However, it turns out that the post was a hoax, and Lil Tay is alive and well.

How Lil Tay Regained Control of Her Instagram Account

Lil Tay, whose real name is Tay Tian, regained control of her Instagram account today and deleted the fake death announcement. She also posted a video on her story, confirming that she and her brother are safe and alive.

According to Lil Tay, her Instagram account was hacked by a third party who used it to spread false information and rumors about her. She said that the hacker even got her name wrong, calling her “Claire Hope” instead of Tay Tian.

How Lil Tay Reacted to the Traumatic Incident

Lil Tay told TMZ that she was “completely heartbroken” and “struggling to find the right words” after the traumatic incident. She said that she received countless phone calls from worried loved ones all day yesterday, while trying to sort out the mess.

She also thanked her fans for their support and love, and apologized for any confusion or distress caused by the hacker. She said that she is working with her team to find out who was behind the hack and take legal action against them.

Who Is Lil Tay and Why Is She Famous?

Lil Tay rose to fame in 2018 as a controversial social media star who flaunted her wealth and lifestyle. She claimed to be the “youngest flexer of the century” and posted videos of herself in luxury cars and mansions with stacks of cash.

However, it was later revealed that most of her videos were staged, and that she was using her mother’s real estate properties and clients’ cars without their permission. Her mother, Angela Tian, was fired from her job as a real estate agent because of Lil Tay’s antics.

Lil Tay’s social media presence has been mostly inactive since 2018, after she got involved in a custody battle between her parents. Her father, Christopher Hope, claimed that he wanted to protect his daughter from exploitation and abuse.

Lil Tay has occasionally resurfaced on social media since then, posting cryptic messages or asking for help. In May 2021, she posted a video on Instagram saying that she was “moving on to better things” and that she had new music coming soon.

However, after the recent hacking incident, it is unclear what Lil Tay’s future plans are. Will she make a comeback as a rapper, or will she stay away from the spotlight? Only time will tell.
