This day of the Boy is to focus and raise awareness on the importance of health and wellbeing of young boys and also to encourage families to spend time with their son(s), grandsons and young boys who are seen as a son to enjoy partipating in doing things they love and create memories.

May 16th is International Day of the Boy Child. It was founded in 2018 by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, a university lecturer from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The theme for 2024 is Focusing on Boys and Their Well-being, their needs to feel happy, healthy, and valued within family and community.
