Nnamdi Kanu: ESN Becomes Necessary So Long Buhari’s Regime Exists
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, lerder of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has repeated that the group’s security agency, Eastern Security Network, ESN, was founded to confront criminal elements as the entire nation experiences insecurity.
iexclusive News Nigeria recall that the secessionist organization had been accused of attacking the security officers in the Southeast to pave way for the actualization of the age-long agitated Biafra nation.
The security forces recently promised to clamp down on the organization, stating that they were responsible for the activities of the unknown gunmen wreaking havoc in the region.
However, the Biafra freedom fighters has frequently refuted the claim, insisting that IPOB and its security wing had not involved in any illegal conduct.
Kanu stated that the ESN was founded to protect the Igbos against external forces, particularly the Fulani herdsmen who have multiple times clashed with farmers in the region.
In a message on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday night, Kanu repeated that the security agency “was founded out of necessity” stressing that it would continue to guard the Igbos from all types of criminalities.
The tweet states, “Again #ESN was founded out of necessity. As long as Buhari’s dictatorship continues to slaughter and abduct #Biafrans across the (SE)! “ESN will continue to safeguard Igbo people from the cruel attacks of terrorists, bandits and herdsmen”.
