NCC Calls for Stakeholders Input on Three Telecom Regulatory Instruments

Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that In line with its vision of providing dynamic regulatory environment that ensures universal access to affordable and equitable service that supports the nation’s economic growth, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has said that its rallying stakeholders input on three new regulatory instruments in the telecommunications industry.

Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, director of Public Affairs at NCC, disclosed this in a statement released in Abuja, on Monday.

The Public Inquiries will center on the ‘Draft Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations, SIM Replacement Guidelines and The Spectrum Trading Guidelines’.

According to the statement,

“The Nigerian Communications Commission in exercise of its functions under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 (the Act) has published the following draft regulatory instruments on its website www.ncc.gov.ng for stakeholders’ comments:

1. Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations;
2. SIM Replacement Guidelines;
3. Spectrum Trading Guidelines

“In accordance with Section 57 of the Act, Public Inquiries in respect of the above mentioned draft regulatory instruments have been scheduled to hold virtually at 11.00am on the dates stated in the table below;

“Interested stakeholders are by this notice invited to make written submissions on the subject and participate in the Public Inquiries. Details of the virtual meeting will be forwarded to interested attendees prior to the Public Inquiries” it added.

All submissions must reach the Commission on or before Friday, September 24, 2021 and should be addressed to:
